The James Hornsby School

James Hornsby Ofsted Inspection

James Hornsby Ofsted Inspection

The James Hornsby School is pleased to announce that following an inspection on 6 and 7 October 2021, we have been graded a “Good" school by Ofsted.

“I’m extremely proud of everything we have achieved, we want to do the very best for all our pupils in every regard and we will continue on the trajectory towards outstanding.  We could not have achieved this grade without the on-going support from our parents, carers, and community and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved. We are delighted that Ofsted recognised the excellent work we are doing. In particular the report reflects our family ethos, the high expectations we have, and the opportunities we offer.” – Tammy Nicholls, Headteacher.

The James Hornsby School received a good grading in all areas on the new framework. This grading reflects the hard work and commitment of our students, staff, governors and the trust to ensure our school is a school to be proud of.

We are delighted that Ofsted recognised the excellent work the school are doing.  In particular, the report reflects our family ethos, the high expectations we have, and the opportunities we offer. We have already started addressing the action points raised and still have lots we want to do to ensure we do the very best for all of our pupils.

Ofsted said that “Pupils feel part of the James Hornsby ‘family’, and feel safe and happy.  Staff encourage pupils to aim high.  Pupils leave the school well prepared for future learning or employment.”

The report outlines many strengths and the full report can be viewed on the school website.
