Our Community
James Hornsby School believes in improving life chances for their young people and as such working as part of the community it vital to ensure we succeed with this. Partnerships are forged around principles in the community:
- we want to ensure we have highly effective learning opportunities that develop academic and holistic qualities in our children
- we want to build cultural and social capital that equip our young people that can attach to social networks, build relationships that support their position in society
- we want to build resilience and independence in our young people that drives desire and aspiration to succeed
- we want to ensure our young people are equipped mentally, physically, emotionally as well as academically
In doing so, we work with parents, carers, external agencies, feeder primary schools, local clubs and organisations to ensure we have the best possible opportunities available for our young people. Our school is in the heart of the community and we want to continue to build positive relationships with all stakeholders to ensure our young people continue to strive.
