The Jack Petchey vision is of a world where young people have high aspirations; the opportunity to develop their potential; the chance to be architects of their own future; to play a full part in society and to be valued and recognised for the positive things they achieve. It enables young people (aged 11 – 25 years in London and Essex), to achieve their potential by inspiring, investing in, developing and promoting activities that increase their personal, social, emotional and physical development.
Each month an individual is selected by the school leadership team that has contributed in some way to the lives of others. They are selected for one or more of the following criteria:
- Helping others over and above expectations
- Being a good role model/mentor
- Showing bravery
- Overcoming a personal challenge
- Trying really hard
- Breaking through a personal barrier
Each winner is assigned £250 that they are allowed to spend on a subject area or reward trip. The Foundation exists to raise the aspirations of young people, to help them take advantage of opportunities and play a full part in society.
Students can nominate for the Jack Petchey Award by either completing and handing in a nomination form found in reception, the library, website link or emailing your nomination to:
