Wednesday 15 January 2020 County Boccia 15/01/20 We’re very pleased to announce that five of our students attended the County Boccia finals on Monday and achieved fantastic results of finishing in 5th place and 2nd place respectively. Well done… this is a fantastic achievement for all involved. Tuesday 17 December 2019 Salvation Army Food Donations 17/12/19 Our Deputy Head Boy (Harrison) and Deputy Head Girl (Rheannon) went to the #SalvationArmy in Laindon yesterday to deliver the 60+ bags of food that the students at have donated over the past two weeks to help the less-fortunate families of Laindon this Christmas. We are super proud of our students and want to thank everyone who made a #donation!

Thursday 21 September 2017 Year 9 trip to Ypres On Friday September 15th, year 9 students travelled to Ypres and the WW1 battle fields to pay their respects to those that have fallen in the Great War. The students were a credit to the school taking in Santuary Wood, Hill 62 trench system, Tyne Cott cemetery, Langamark cemetery and the Menin gate. The James Hornsby School was also represented at the Menin gate ceremony in the evening by laying a wreath as a mark of remembrance and thanks for the great sacrifice endured by those that fell on the field of battle.

Wednesday 20 September 2017 Rocketing Success Annual Rocket Competition The STEM students were fantastic at this year’s Rocket competition. On the test run day we were top of the league table on every aspect of the competition. Sadly on the competition day the odds were not in our favour, however the students had a brilliant time and become real ‘rocket scientists’ through the process. That’s a label anyone would want on their CV!
