In this year, students will take their terminal exams in the GCSE programmes they have been studying.
It is the culmination of the 11 years of their primary and secondary education.
To mark the importance of this time, year 11 students are taken from the vertical tutor groups and given form times specific to their individual needs as they look at applications to colleges, how to revise and how to manage the pressure of increasing workloads.
Year 11 can be a difficult and rewarding time, culminating in the exam season from May to June, finished off with the celebration of the Leavers’ assembly and the Prom.
