KS4 Sport Science
Our Sport Science course helps students appreciate how science underpins sport at all levels.
They learn about anatomy, physiology, injury prevention, improving personal fitness, diet, and the impact the advancements in technology has had on sport. Students will learn how to respond to common sporting injuries and how to recognise the symptoms of some common medical conditions. They will be able to apply practical skills in fitness testing and in designing bespoke training programmes to suit individual requirements.

ASSESSMENT
The course is split into 4 units:
- 1 hour written exam: Reducing Sports Injuries
- Coursework: Applying principles of training
- Coursework: Sports nutrition
- Coursework: Technology in sport
