Remote Learning
School Closure Remote Learning
In the event of a school closure students will be taught live lessons via Google meet.
Students will need to be logged on to their Google classroom and hit the Join Button that appears on their Google Classroom page:
Staff will also post an assignment in the classroom with the lesson content and students will submit the work completed to this assignment.
Attendance is taken from the live lesson.
If a student is unable to join the google meet - the lesson is still available in the google classroom. Do contact IT Support to inform of the issue.
If you do not have a laptop to use for the live lessons please contact us and we can provide the relevant equipment.
Student Remote Learning
On the school website learning menus are also available if a student is not in school.
When using these menus students must make sure they are logged in to their school Google account (please see below for further details).
Go to your year group and click the relevant link: this will take to your work.
Contact your teacher via your Google Classroom and submit work completed to your Google Classroom.
If there are any issues with the links please contact IT Support with as much information as possible so we can correct the error.
Google Classroom
We use Google Classroom, and your student may have already received their log on details. Students can only join Google Classrooms with their James Hornsby accounts, not personal Google accounts.
The Classroom codes for the subjects can be found here.
