Community We have excellent relationships with our community and we work well with our local feeder schools providing an enriched primary liaison programme across the year This includes school based events: maths challenge swimming lessons STEM activities and summer school events Parents’ voices are are extremely important to us at the James Hornsby School and we gather views through regular parent surveys and via our established ‘Parents in Partnership’ group This is is a group of volunteer parent and carer representatives from across year-groups and colleges They meet half termly to participate in discussions relating to school improvement policy change and procedural updates “Parents said they feel supported and well informed as to their young person’s progress and the the the opportunities the the the school gives parents to extend their own learning ” Leading Parent Partnership Award PAGE 12 | www jameshornsby essex sch uk
