Student Welfare

The school’s open culture actively promotes all aspects of pupils’ welfare. Pupils are safe and feel safe at all times. They understand how to keep themselves and others safe in different situations. Pupils can explain accurately and confidently how to keep themselves healthy. They can make informed choices about healthy eating, fitness and their emotional and mental well-being.

The college team is the first point of contact for both students and parents, consisting of a member of SLT, a head of college and an achievement officer. Siblings are placed within the same college to ensure consistent points of contact for the family. The Achievement officers are available before school between 8am and 8.40am, during break, lunch and after school between 3pm and 4pm. They also run a prep club each morning in the library from 7.30am to support students with homework.

“Pupils feel safe and looked after at school and are confident they would be supported”
